Chessboards are generally made to order due to the wide range of wood combinations. 

Two options are available, those with 2 layers containing drawers to house the chess set, and flat boards. Both of these options are made to order to the customers specification  in terms of size, thickness, wood types and special features.

The squares of the chessboard shown below are made from sonokelling rosewood and cherry, with the frame being made from maple and black walnut, with olive wood inserts in the plinth corners. 

This board is finished with 3 coats of sealer and waxed. The underside of this board is covered in baize to stop it from sliding or scratching any surface. 

Dimensions are approximately 450mm x 450mm x 27mm thick. The playing squares are 42mm x 42mm.

The chessboard shown below is made from maple and black walnut. This board was made to the customer's specification and included engraved text, plinth corners, pennies in the corners celebrating the birth year of the recipient and baize covering on the underside. 

Dimensions are 600mm x 600mm x 32mm thick. The playing squares are 50mm x 50mm. The finish is 3 coats of sealer and waxed.
